Nominate a Heritage Tree today!
Members of the public can nominate Heritage Trees at any time throughout the year. Nominations are reviewed in two-year cycles, with the current cycle closing on 30 June 2027. Any nominations received after this deadline will be considered in the subsequent review cycle.
The nominated trees will be assessed against the qualifying criteria (outlined below) and inspected for their health and structural stability. The Heritage Tree Panel, comprising of members who have a broad diversity of expertise, will then review these trees for endorsements and consider the trees for endorsement.
Before nominating a Heritage Tree, please note these qualifying criteria:

The tree should ideally have a girth (trunk circumference) of more than five (5) metres (dependent on species).

The tree should have botanical, social, historical, cultural and/or aesthetical value (e.g. overall form and structure).
